Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk:Former Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq sparked online discussion after joking about a second marriage during a morning television show appearance with host Nida Yasir.
Razzaq appeared on the programme alongside his wife, Ayesha Razzaq, where the couple spoke candidly about family life and managing responsibilities at home.
During the conversation, Ayesha explained that due to Razzaq’s busy cricket career, she largely handled household duties, including their children’s schooling, parent-teacher meetings, grocery shopping and overall home management.
In a light-hearted moment, Razzaq remarked, “I have told her many times that I could get married again; it would lighten your workload since you are doing so much,” drawing laughter in the studio.
When asked by Nida Yasir whether he had ever surprised his wife, Ayesha looked toward her husband, prompting Razzaq to joke again, suggesting the “surprise” could be a second marriage. The host added humorously that public figures often make headlines when they hint at remarriage, referencing fellow cricketer Imad Wasim.
Razzaq later adopted a more reflective tone, stating that personal decisions ultimately rest with individuals. “Time reveals what decisions are right or wrong, and no one can interfere in another person’s life choices,” he said.
The remarks quickly circulated on social media, where fans debated whether the former cricketer’s comments were purely humorous or carried deeper meaning. Razzaq, a key member of Pakistan’s 2009 T20 World Cup-winning squad, remains a prominent figure in Pakistan cricket and television discussions.
