Washington, USA – Web Desk: The White House has confirmed that while U.S. President Donald Trump’s first priority in handling Iran has always been diplomacy, he will not hesitate to use military force if deemed necessary.
White House spokesperson Caroline Leavitt told reporters that President Trump retains the ultimate authority to make final decisions regarding Iran.
Meanwhile, the U.S. State Department announced that Secretary of State Marco Rubio will brief key congressional leaders today on the latest developments concerning Iran. Reuters cited informed sources saying that Rubio will update lawmakers on recent progress and ongoing U.S. strategies toward Tehran.
Earlier, on February 19, President Trump had reportedly given Iran 10–15 days to reach an agreement. Analysts suggest that Trump may use his upcoming address to Congress to outline his position on Iran’s nuclear program and the potential for military action.
