Doha, Qatar – Web Desk: Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif met with Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Sayed, in Doha to discuss bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
During the meeting, both leaders reviewed the growing momentum in Pakistan-Qatar relations and expressed satisfaction with the progress made. Dr. Al-Sayed, who also chairs the Pakistan-Qatar Joint Business Task Force, highlighted Qatar’s commitment to expanding private sector and business linkages with Pakistan.
Prime Minister Sharif emphasized the importance of increasing bilateral trade volume and diversifying Pakistan’s exports to Qatar, particularly agricultural products, food items, and value-added goods. The discussion also focused on the follow-up of the 6th session of the Pakistan-Qatar Joint Ministerial Commission and reaffirmed their commitment to implementing agreed-upon decisions.
The Prime Minister also highlighted Pakistan’s investor-friendly reforms and the role of the Special Investment Facilitation Council in facilitating foreign investment. Both sides agreed to convene a task force meeting during Ramadan to explore concrete investment proposals from Qatar in Pakistan.
The meeting underscored a shared commitment to deepen trade, investment, and industrial cooperation between Pakistan and Qatar.
