Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Pakistani singer and former politician Abrar-ul-Haq has come under renewed public scrutiny after a viral video showed him arguing with a female journalist over a donation-related controversy during a public event.
The incident follows earlier footage that circulated online, alleging that Abrar-ul-Haq had placed donated money into his pocket during a concert. In the latest video, the singer is seen in a heated exchange with journalist Safina Khan, accusing her and other reporters of political bias and repeatedly criticising them over the viral clip.
Khan, in response, said she was not present at the concert and that the footage was recorded and shared by people in Abrar-ul-Haq’s own circle. Abrar-ul-Haq, however, rejected the claim and defended his actions, stating that he had personally purchased land and built a hospital and that the money received during the concert was intended as donations for the facility.
He argued that he could not deposit the funds into a bank at that moment, which is why he kept the cash with him. The video has been widely shared across social media platforms, triggering mixed reactions. Some supporters defended the singer, while critics described the incident as an example of ego-driven behaviour and called for greater transparency.
Later, journalist Safina Khan shared another video showing the misunderstanding resolved, with both sides speaking amicably, suggesting the dispute had eased.
