PCB receives six bids for PSL franchise, five parties cleared for final auction stage
Lahore, Pakistan | Web Desk: A major development has emerged regarding the auction of Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Multan Sultans, as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has completed the initial evaluation process of interested bidders.
According to sources, following differences between former owner Ali Tareen and the PCB, the board had earlier decided to run Multan Sultans under its administration for the ongoing season. However, after the successful auction of two new PSL teams, PCB members strongly pushed for the auction of Multan Sultans as well.
The PCB invited offers from interested parties by February 2, receiving a total of six bids by the deadline. After completing the technical evaluation, five parties have been declared eligible to participate in the bidding process.
An official announcement regarding the auction date and venue is expected soon. The development has sparked strong interest among investors, signaling growing commercial confidence in the Pakistan Super League.
