UK-China deal opens doors for tourism, business, and job opportunities
Beijing, China – Web Desk: China has announced a 30-day visa-free entry for British citizens, marking a major boost for tourism, business, and employment opportunities. The announcement came during UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s official visit, following his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Under the new agreement, UK citizens can stay in China for up to 30 days without a visa for tourism and business purposes. Britain now joins a list of 50 countries eligible for China’s visa-free travel, including France, Spain, Italy, and Germany.
Prime Minister Starmer highlighted that this move will facilitate British businesses expanding into China, strengthen bilateral trade, and create new jobs. Both countries also agreed to begin negotiations for a future two-way visa service and signed a partnership agreement enhancing access to China’s market in sectors including health, education, skills, professional services, finance, and law.
China, the world’s second-largest economy, is the UK’s third-largest trading partner, and this visa relaxation is expected to further deepen economic relations between the two nations.
