Sindh govt clarifies no withdrawal of security for MQM leaders

Date:

KARACHI (Web Desk) – The Sindh government has rejected claims made by MQM leaders regarding the withdrawal of their security. Spokesperson Sumeta Afzal Syed said the party’s allegations are false and intended as negative propaganda.

Sumeta Afzal Syed clarified that security has not been withdrawn from any MQM minister or party member. She emphasized that those eligible for protection continue to receive full security, provided in line with the law and established security protocols.

“Baseless allegations regarding MQM security are just political propaganda,” the spokesperson stated, highlighting that all security arrangements are being maintained as required by legal standards.

Security provided according to law

The spokesperson confirmed that the security facilities provided to MQM leaders are fully compliant with government regulations. Sumeta Afzal Syed stressed that eligible individuals receive protection according to legal guidelines and security protocols, dismissing claims that security has been removed as false.

“All security facilities for MQM ministers and party members are in place and operational,” she said.

The government’s statement comes after MQM Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal criticized the Sindh government, alleging that the withdrawal of security was intended to intimidate the party and silence political voices.
