Iran Missile Threat: Israel Prepares Airlines for Overseas Move

Date:

Rising Iran-Israel tensions push Israel to boost defense alert; airlines may relocate planes abroad.

Israel ramps up defensive measures amid escalating tensions with Iran over possible missile strikes. Transport Minister Merav Regof announced that Israeli airlines are preparing contingency plans to temporarily relocate aircraft abroad in case of emergency. While no official orders have been issued, airlines are fully ready to act swiftly if needed.

Israeli media report that routine air operations continue, but past experience from June last year, when some aircraft were moved to Cyprus, Athens, Thailand, the US, and Europe due to rising tensions with Iran, has prompted authorities to take precautionary steps. Defense alert levels have increased as Israeli officials monitor Iran’s response to potential US actions closely.

The Israeli Air Force remains cautious, acknowledging that Iran could escalate the conflict to involve Israel, though it is unclear if Israel would be a direct target. Close coordination with the US and allied nations is ongoing to mitigate risks. Airlines and defense forces remain on high alert to ensure national security amid the volatile Middle East situation.
