Five Injured in Attack on DPO Convoy in North Waziristan

Date:

NORTH WAZIRISTAN – Five security personnel were injured when the convoy of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DPO) Waqar Ahmed came under attack on Monday near Mamash Khel on the Bannu-Miransha road.

The DPO was unharmed, but the injured officers were quickly moved to a hospital for medical care. DSP Qudratullah confirmed the attack and stated that security forces have sealed off the area and launched a search operation to apprehend the attackers.

This incident follows a deadly bomb blast last month in Hangu district, which killed three police officers, including SP Operations Asad Zubair.

The attack started with an explosion at a police check-post in Gulmina, causing no casualties. However, shortly after, SP Asad Zubair and other officers were attacked by a bomb near Darban, resulting in the death of SP Asad Zubair and two police personnel, with two others injured.
