Prime Suspect in Amir Balaj Murder Case, ‘Teefi Butt’, Extradited from Dubai to Pakistan

Date:

LAHORE — In a dramatic turn of events, Khawaja Tarif Gulshan — widely known as Teefi Butt — the prime suspect in the high-profile murder of Amir Balaj, has been brought back to Pakistan from Dubai.

According to sources, Butt appeared before a Dubai court where he agreed to return and face legal proceedings in Pakistan. Following the court’s decision, he was handed over to Punjab Police and flown to Lahore under tight security.

The arrest stems from a Red Notice issued by Lahore Police, which led to Butt’s capture during a private gathering in Dubai on October 4. His extradition marks a major breakthrough in the murder investigation.

After the killing of Balaj, Butt reportedly fled from Islamabad to Glasgow. When his UK visa expired, he traveled to Dubai to renew it — a move that ultimately led to his arrest.

Authorities are expected to begin formal interrogation and legal proceedings in Lahore. The case continues to draw public attention due to its high-profile nature and international trail.
