ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called a meeting of the federal cabinet today (Thursday) at the Prime Minister’s Office to deliberate on pressing political, economic, and security matters facing the country.
Sources indicate that the prime minister will also brief cabinet members on his recent foreign visits, sharing insights and outcomes relevant to Pakistan’s diplomatic and economic engagements.
The agenda includes a comprehensive review of reforms in the energy and power sectors, legal affairs, and matters related to Pakistan Railways. Notably, the cabinet is expected to consider and possibly approve the draft of the Railway Amendment Ordinance.
The meeting comes at a time of heightened political activity and economic challenges, with the government aiming to streamline key sectors and reinforce its reform agenda.
