Peshawar, Pakistan – Web Desk: A moderate earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale struck parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday, sending tremors across multiple cities including Peshawar and causing panic among residents.
According to the Seismological Center, the epicenter of the earthquake was located in the Hindu Kush mountain range, a region known for frequent seismic activity.
Residents reported feeling strong tremors, prompting many to rush out of homes and offices in fear. However, there were no immediate reports of casualties or significant damage.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation, while experts note that earthquakes of this magnitude are relatively common in the region due to tectonic activity along fault lines.
