117 Militants Killed in Balochistan Operations Since July 5

Date:

Security forces have killed 117 militants in Operation Shaban and other intelligence-based operations across Balochistan since July 5, according to security sources.

Quetta, Pakistan – Web Desk: Officials said the joint operation involving the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC), and Balochistan Police will continue until all terrorist threats in the province are eliminated. The sources added that militants are being targeted through coordinated air and ground operations.

Earlier on Monday, five more militants were killed, bringing the total number of terrorists eliminated in Operation Shaban alone to 76. Security forces also recovered a large cache of weapons and ammunition, including M4 rifles, submachine guns, rocket launchers, mobile phones, and other military equipment.

Operation Shaban was launched following the deadly attack on the Mangi Dam Police Station in Ziarat. Security officials said recent terrorist attacks in Balochistan claimed the lives of 42 people, including security personnel and civilians.

According to the military, operations will continue as part of Pakistan’s broader counterterrorism campaign aimed at dismantling militant networks operating in the region.
