Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: Ongoing geopolitical tensions involving Iran, the United States, and Israel have continued to disrupt regional aviation, leading to the cancellation of 104 flights from Pakistan to Middle Eastern destinations on Friday.
Aviation sources reported that 21 flights from Karachi to destinations including Dubai, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Bahrain were canceled due to security and operational constraints.
From Lahore, 27 flights to Gulf destinations such as Dubai, Doha, Sharjah, Kuwait City, Dammam, and Abu Dhabi were also grounded.
In the capital, Islamabad, 29 flights scheduled for Doha, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Sharjah, and Dubai were canceled, although 14 departures remained ready for operation.
Airports in Peshawar experienced similar disruptions, with 12 flights to Doha, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and Jeddah canceled and four scheduled departures proceeding as planned.
In southern Pakistan, eight flights from Multan to Gulf destinations were canceled, while seven remained ready for departure. Similarly, seven flights from Faisalabad to Dubai, Sharjah, and Jeddah were grounded, with two expected to operate.
Authorities reported that all four scheduled flights from Quetta to Sharjah and Dubai were expected to proceed as planned.
Aviation officials stated that 1,130 flights from Pakistan to Middle Eastern destinations have been canceled over the past week due to regional instability and security concerns stemming from the ongoing conflict.
The disruptions highlight the broader impact of Middle Eastern tensions on global aviation and travel, with airlines adjusting operations to ensure passenger safety amid volatile conditions.
