Tel Aviv, Israel – Web Desk: Yemeni Houthi forces have claimed responsibility for a fourth missile attack targeting strategic locations in Israel, including areas near Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
AFP reports that Houthi spokesperson Yahya Sari stated in a video that ballistic missiles struck key Israeli targets. Israel’s Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that the missiles fired from Yemen were intercepted and neutralized by air defense systems.
The IDF emphasized that the strikes mark the fourth missile attempt from Yemen since the recent escalation of conflict in the Middle East. Israel’s Home Front Command had previously issued alerts for heightened vigilance in the Tel Aviv and Jerusalem regions.
In a separate statement, the Israeli military reported successfully thwarting an additional missile threat originating from Iran. The IDF highlighted its ongoing readiness to defend against regional missile threats and reassured citizens that air defense systems remain active and fully operational.
The incidents underscore the growing tension in the Middle East and the role of air defense capabilities in countering missile threats from Yemen and Iran-aligned groups.
