Xi Urges Hormuz Stability in Call with Saudi Crown Prince

Beijing, China – Web Desk: Chinese President Xi Jinping held a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, focusing on rising tensions in the Middle East and the situation in the Strait of Hormuz.

According to Chinese state media, Xi emphasized the importance of keeping the Strait of Hormuz open for global shipping, calling it vital not only for regional countries but also for the stability of the global economy.

The Chinese leader reiterated Beijing’s call for an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire and an end to all military operations in the region. He said such measures are essential to de-escalate tensions and restore stability.

Xi also expressed China’s support for diplomatic and political efforts aimed at achieving lasting peace in the Middle East. The conversation highlights growing international concern over disruptions in key global energy routes and ongoing regional conflicts.
