Berlin, Germany – Web Desk: Mathematician with 100% World Cup prediction record reveals new winner.
A German mathematician known for accurately predicting the last three FIFA World Cup winners has once again drawn global attention after naming his pick for the next champion.
Joachim Klemen, who correctly forecast Germany’s 2014 World Cup triumph, France’s 2018 victory, and Argentina’s 2022 title win, is now in the spotlight ahead of the upcoming tournament.
Klemen had previously predicted Germany’s success in 2014. In 2018, he notably forecast that Germany would fail to defend its title while naming France as the eventual champions. He repeated his success in 2022 by correctly backing Argentina to lift the trophy.
Despite the next World Cup being hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, Klemen believes none of the host nations will win the tournament.
In his latest projection, he has identified the Netherlands as the potential World Cup winners, a surprise choice given that the team has never won the title despite multiple final appearances and strong football history.
Klemen explained that his forecasts are based on an economic and statistical model that evaluates several key factors, including population size, climate conditions, sports infrastructure, talent development resources, and FIFA world rankings.
He argues that larger populations increase the probability of elite talent emergence, while favorable climate conditions support year-round training and adaptability. Current FIFA rankings, he adds, help measure a team’s recent form and competitive strength.
If his prediction proves accurate once again, the Netherlands could secure its first-ever World Cup title, marking a historic milestone in football history.
