Lahore, Pakistan – Web Desk: Quetta Gladiators spinner Usman Tariq has said that his bowling has not been “figured out,” but rather batters have become more cautious while facing him.
Speaking to the media after Quetta Gladiators’ victory against Lahore Qalandars in PSL 11, Usman Tariq said that good deliveries always create wicket-taking opportunities. He rejected the idea that batters have fully understood his bowling style.
He further noted that even the Indian cricket team had developed specific plans to counter his bowling during the T20 World Cup, highlighting the level of preparation from international sides.
Usman added that modern batters now use better judgment at the crease, which makes it more challenging for bowlers to take wickets consistently. However, he emphasized that he focuses on delivering his best in every situation.
The spinner said that pitch conditions in Karachi are more difficult for bowlers compared to Lahore, although spinners generally find more assistance there.
Responding to questions about being introduced late into the attack, Usman Tariq said he bowls whenever the captain feels the situation requires his services.
