Washington, United States – Web Desk: The United States has proposed a record الدفاع budget of up to $1.5 trillion for fiscal year 2027, marking the largest military spending plan in the country’s history, according to details released by the Pentagon.
The proposed increase represents an estimated 42% rise compared to previous allocations, reflecting Washington’s efforts to strengthen its military capabilities amid rising global tensions.
Officials said a significant portion of the budget would be directed toward advanced weapons systems and next-generation technologies. Approximately $750 billion has been earmarked for naval vessels, advanced fighter jets, and missile defense initiatives, including the “Golden Dome” program.
The plan also includes around $74 billion for drone and counter-drone technologies, while more than $75 billion has been proposed for space defense programs, highlighting the growing importance of space-based security.
Additionally, $18 billion has been allocated for the Golden Dome missile defense system, alongside $2.3 billion for border security measures along the US-Mexico border.
Analysts say the sharp increase in defense spending is driven by escalating geopolitical tensions and evolving security challenges, prompting the United States to accelerate modernization of its armed forces and maintain strategic superiority.
The proposal is expected to face debate in Congress as policymakers weigh national security priorities against fiscal concerns.
