Herndon, United States – Web Desk: Suhas Subramanyam has highlighted the growing influence of the South Asian community in the United States, describing it as a driving force behind innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership.
He made these remarks while addressing a conference organized by the South Asian Business Council of Virginia in Herndon, which brought together policymakers, business leaders, and community representatives.
Former minister Juan Pablo Segura emphasized the importance of strong partnerships between the state and communities for long-term success, while Kannan Srinivasan noted that investment in small businesses is key to strengthening the future economy.
Atoosa Reaser said such gatherings help build lasting unity among diverse communities. Meanwhile, County Treasurer Henry Eickelberg acknowledged the South Asian community’s significant contribution to Virginia’s economy.
Advisory Committee Chair Mansoor Qureshi stated that the conference aimed to connect professionals and entrepreneurs, foster direct engagement with policymakers, and create opportunities in education, employment, and investment.
Speakers including David Ramadan and Sara Basha also addressed the gathering. Women Empowerment Committee Chair Samreen Qureshi and Strategic Advisor Samara Mansoor emphasized expanding opportunities for youth development.
The event concluded with a startup pitch competition, where all five participants were offered investment opportunities. Rizwan Jaka was honored with the Community Impact Award.
