Tel Aviv, Israel – Web Desk: Israeli state media reported that the recent joint US-Israeli airstrikes on Iran targeted the country’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Masoud Pezeshkian.
According to Israel’s Kan broadcasting network, the strikes carried out on Saturday were directed at high-ranking Iranian leadership, including the supreme authority and the president, as part of efforts to neutralize perceived strategic threats.
Earlier, Iranian sources told Reuters that Ayatollah Khamenei was not in Tehran during the attacks and had been relocated to a secure location prior to the strikes. Officials confirmed that the top Iranian leadership remains safe, despite claims from Israeli media regarding the targeted nature of the operation.
The attacks come amid heightened tensions in the Middle East, with US-Israeli operations focused on preventing Iran from advancing its nuclear capabilities and regional influence.
