US–Iran War Exit Plan Emerges Amid Ceasefire Push

Date:

London, United Kingdom – Web Desk: According to a report by Reuters, the United States and Iran have received a proposed plan aimed at ending the ongoing conflict, as diplomatic efforts intensify to ease tensions in the Middle East.

The proposal reportedly includes Iran’s commitment to abandon nuclear weapons ambitions as part of a broader final agreement. Sources indicate that the plan outlines an immediate ceasefire, followed by negotiations toward a comprehensive deal within 20 days.

A senior Iranian official confirmed that Tehran has received a draft ceasefire proposal from Pakistan and is currently reviewing it. However, the official emphasized that Iran would not accept any imposed deadlines or external pressure, expressing skepticism over Washington’s willingness to commit to a lasting ceasefire.

The proposed framework also includes reopening the Strait of Hormuz after an initial ceasefire, a critical step for global energy markets. Additional reports suggest a phased approach, beginning with a 45-day ceasefire before moving toward a broader agreement addressing uranium enrichment and regional security concerns.

Meanwhile, regional actors including Pakistan, Egypt, and Türkiye are actively engaged in mediation efforts to bring Iran back to the negotiating table. Backchannel communications between US and Iranian officials are also reportedly ongoing.

Despite progress, several US proposals remain unacceptable to Iran, and negotiations continue amid uncertainty over the final terms of a potential agreement.
