US Imposes Sanctions on 9 Iranian Individuals, Entities Over Arms Procurement

Date:

WASHINGTON – Web Desk: The United States has imposed sanctions on nine Iranian individuals and entities, targeting the country’s defense ministry, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and networks assisting Iranian forces in weapons procurement, according to the US Department of Treasury.

The Treasury Department stated that it will continue operations against networks assisting weapons supplies to Iran. President Donald Trump said on Truth Social that “Iran’s military has been completely destroyed — many of its parts, like the navy and air force, effectively no longer exist. They have been decisively defeated.”

Trump added that “Iran delayed far too long in negotiating a deal that could have been best for them. Now they will have to pay the price.”
