US Backs Pakistan’s Right to Defend Against Afghan Taliban Attacks

Washington, USA – Web Desk: The United States has expressed support for Pakistan’s right to defend itself against Afghan Taliban attacks, according to Alison Hooker, Political Affairs Secretary at the U.S. State Department.

Speaking on social media platform X, Hooker confirmed that she spoke Friday night with Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Amina Baloch, offering condolences over recent casualties in clashes between Pakistani forces and Afghan Taliban fighters. She added that the U.S. continues to closely monitor the situation and fully supports Pakistan’s defensive actions.

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump praised Pakistan’s handling of the ongoing border conflict with Afghanistan. Speaking to the media outside the White House, Trump said, “Pakistan is acting responsibly, and I will not intervene. Pakistan has strong leadership with an excellent Prime Minister and General, whom I greatly respect.”

Trump emphasized that Pakistan is moving in the right direction in managing its affairs with Afghanistan, highlighting the country’s capable and strong leadership.
