ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Information Minister Attaullah Tarar on Tuesday revealed that the November 11 suicide blast outside Islamabad’s Judicial Complex — which killed 12 people and injured 35 — was planned by banned TTP chief Noor Wali Mehsud and executed through his commander Daadullah, who is currently in Afghanistan.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Tarar detailed how four arrested facilitators remained in constant contact with TTP leaders across the border.
He identified them as the bomber’s handler Sajidullah alias Sheena, Kamran Khan, Muhammad Zali and Shah Munir, adding that all four were detained within 48 hours in a joint Intelligence Bureau and Counter-Terrorism Department operation.
Tarar said Sajidullah met commander Daadullah multiple times between 2023 and August 2025 and coordinated the attack using an encrypted app. The minister played the suspect’s video confession, in which he admitted arranging the suicide jacket, bringing the bomber to the attack site and recruiting Zali and Khan after receiving instructions in Afghanistan. Sajidullah, who joined the TTP in 2015, had also undergone training at various camps and visited Jalalabad in 2024 to finalise the bombing plot.
The minister added that the terrorists originally aimed for a high-value target in Islamabad or Rawalpindi, but strict security measures prevented a larger tragedy, stopping the bomber from entering the court premises.
Tarar expressed deep grief over the loss of innocent lives and reaffirmed that the government, under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, is fully committed to strengthening security and eliminating terrorism through active efforts of law enforcement agencies and security forces.
Confessional statement of terrorist Sajidullah
Arrested terrorist Sajidullah confessed that in 2016 he went from here to Kunar, Afghanistan, where he stayed for a month and received training before returning to Pakistan. He said he also met commander Abu Hamza in Afghanistan.
Sajidullah further stated that he returned to Afghanistan again in 2023, where he met TTP commander Daadullah. After spending one night there, they came back to Pakistan. Later, he received pictures and was told to collect a suicide jacket from a graveyard.
The terrorist said that he obtained the suicide jacket from a graveyard in Peshawar and then travelled to Islamabad. He received a message that within a few days a man named Qari Usman would arrive from Afghanistan. The suicide bomber stayed at his house for one or two days.
