Trump Sets Iran Deadline, Warns of Infrastructure Strikes

Date:

Washington, United States – Web Desk: US President Donald Trump has issued a final deadline to Iran, warning of potential military strikes on key infrastructure if a deal is not reached by the end of the day.

Speaking at a press conference, Trump said Iran must agree to terms, including reopening the Strait of Hormuz, by “tonight,” describing the deadline as final. He warned that failure to comply could result in attacks targeting Iranian power plants and critical infrastructure.

“If no deal is reached, we will destroy their power plants and infrastructure before midnight,” Trump said, signaling a possible escalation in the already heightened US-Iran tensions.

The US president also claimed that negotiations were ongoing with alternative stakeholders inside Iran, suggesting that discussions with “new leadership elements” were progressing. He added that multiple countries were mediating efforts to secure a ceasefire and diplomatic agreement.

Referring to previous negotiations, Trump said a deal had nearly been finalized but collapsed at the last moment. He alleged that following that breakdown, he authorized a strike on a major Iranian bridge, which he claimed was destroyed within minutes.

Trump further warned that any large-scale destruction of Iran’s infrastructure could take decades—or even up to a century—to fully rebuild, underscoring the potential long-term impact of military escalation.

The remarks come amid rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, with global markets closely monitoring developments due to concerns over energy supply disruptions and regional security risks.
