Trump Says US Needs No Help in Iran War, Criticizes NATO

Date:

Washington, United States – Web Desk: US President Donald Trump said Washington does not require assistance in the ongoing conflict with Iran, following reports that several allied nations declined requests for support.

Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump emphasized that the United States remains capable of handling the situation independently. “As the president of a powerful country, I want to say we do not need anyone’s help,” he stated.

However, he criticized the NATO, saying the alliance was making a “serious mistake” by not being more actively involved in the region.

Trump also responded to remarks by Emmanuel Macron, who had indicated that France would not participate in operations related to securing the Strait of Hormuz. Trump suggested Macron could soon leave office, without providing further details.

The US president further named countries including Japan, Australia, and South Korea, saying that while many nations supported Washington’s stance on Iran, they failed to provide assistance when it was needed.

Earlier, countries such as the United Kingdom, France, Australia, Japan, South Korea, and China reportedly declined US requests to join efforts aimed at ensuring maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz.

The comments highlight growing divisions among Western allies amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.
