Trump Says Israeli Forces Recalled, Hezbollah Agrees to Halt Attacks

Date:

Washington, United States – Web Desk: U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that Israeli forces will no longer move toward Beirut, stating that troops reportedly en route to the Lebanese capital have been recalled following discussions with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

In a statement, Trump said he held a “productive conversation” with Netanyahu and added that Israeli military operations toward Beirut had been halted. He also claimed that indirect contacts were held with Hezbollah through intermediaries, during which the group allegedly agreed to stop all attacks, with assurances that neither side would target the other.

Trump further said that discussions with Iran were continuing at a rapid pace, suggesting ongoing diplomatic engagement in the wider regional conflict.

In a separate interview with CNBC, Trump commented on Iran’s nuclear negotiations and regional tensions, stating that he would not be concerned if talks with Tehran ended. He also downplayed the impact of potential disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz on global oil prices.

He added that Iran had not indicated it was suspending negotiations and emphasized that talks were continuing. Trump said that while military action was not currently planned, pressure on Iran would continue through other measures.
