Washington, United States – Web Desk:
U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that diplomatic talks with Iran will continue despite escalating military tensions and the reported downing of a U.S. aircraft.
Speaking amid rising hostilities, Trump emphasized that the ongoing conflict would not disrupt diplomatic efforts. “This is war, and we are in a state of conflict,” he said, adding that it remains unclear how Washington would respond if harm is confirmed to a missing crew member.
Meanwhile, Iran has rejected negotiations, with senior Iranian officials informing mediators that they will not accept the conditions set by the United States. According to U.S. media reports, ceasefire mediation efforts have stalled, largely due to disagreements involving Washington’s demands.
The situation has intensified following a series of military incidents. Reports indicate that three U.S. aircraft were downed, while two helicopters came under fire. Iran also claimed to have shot down a U.S. A-10 fighter jet near the Strait of Hormuz, although the pilot reportedly survived.
The developments mark a significant escalation in U.S.-Iran tensions, raising concerns about broader regional stability and the future of diplomatic engagement between the two adversaries.
