Trump Exits Iran War; Pakistan Stock Exchange Surges Sharply

Karachi – Web Desk: Following U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement to withdraw from the Iran war, stock markets around the world, including Pakistan, saw a sharp rally today.

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) opened on a positive note, with the 100-index gaining 7,461 points to reach 156,204, while the KSE-30 index surged 2,390 points to 47,422.

During trading, the KSE-30 index jumped 5.02%, prompting a 45-minute trading halt. Trading resumed at 1:09 PM local time.

The Trump announcement also fueled gains in New York, where the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 2.49% yesterday.

Asian markets reacted positively as well, with Japan’s Nikkei rising 9%, while Hang Seng, Nifty 50, and European markets also showed strong upward trends.
