ISLAMABAD – Web Desk: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon have agreed to further strengthen cooperation between the federal government and Sindh province during an important meeting in Islamabad.
The two leaders discussed various key issues including national peace and order, inter-provincial cooperation, drug eradication, and improvement of public services. Detailed discussions were held on drug prevention and the law and order situation in Karachi and other major cities of Sindh. Naqvi also congratulated the Sindh government on successful operations against bandits and criminal elements in katcha (riverine) areas.
Speaking on the occasion, Sharjeel Memon stated that effective communication and cooperation between the federal government and provinces is the best way to tackle national challenges, emphasizing that all institutions and governments should work together on matters of national interest. He added that the Sindh government will further intensify its efforts for crime eradication, establishment of peace, and public protection.
Interior Minister Naqvi assured that the federal government will provide every possible support for establishing peace and preventing drugs. He praised the performance of Sindh Police, stating that they have played a commendable role in restoring peace with bravery, professionalism, and determination despite challenging circumstances.
