Sindh Home Minister Zia ul Hassan Lanjari has issued directives to ensure full-proof security across the province on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat, emphasizing the protection of mosques, imam bargahs, shrines, and public religious gatherings.
According to officials, District IGs and SSPs have been instructed to deploy additional personnel, mobile patrols, and specialized security measures, including snap checks, walk-through gates, and metal detectors at sensitive religious sites.
A special security plan has been prepared to facilitate visitors at shrines and religious sites, while maintaining effective law enforcement coordination among police, Rangers, and other agencies.
Control rooms will operate 24/7, ensuring rapid response to any suspicious activity, while the Traffic Police will implement a traffic management plan around religious gatherings and open-air prayer sites, including graveyards, to ensure safety and smooth flow.
Minister Lanjari stressed that these measures aim to guarantee public safety, prevent incidents, and provide smooth access for worshippers during the important religious occasion.
