Sindh Government Decides Strict Action Against Cheating Students and Involved Staff

Date:

Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: The Sindh government has announced strict measures to curb cheating in matriculation and intermediate examinations, warning of severe penalties for students and staff found involved in malpractice.

In a joint statement, Provincial Education Minister Sardar Shah and Minister for Boards and Universities Muhammad Ismail Rahoo said a “zero tolerance policy” would be enforced to ensure transparency in examinations.

Under the new rules, any student caught cheating may face a permanent ban from appearing in board examinations. Additionally, all papers of such students will be immediately cancelled.

Authorities also warned that students found carrying mobile phones or cheating materials inside examination centres will be expelled instantly and barred from participating in ongoing or future exams.

The government has issued a strong warning to examination staff as well. Invigilators, internal or external supervisors, and administrative officials found complicit in cheating will face strict departmental action, including possible dismissal from service.

Officials said monitoring systems at examination centres are being further strengthened to prevent external interference and ensure fair conduct.

The ministers stressed that there would be no compromise on exam transparency, adding that eliminating the culture of cheating is essential to improving educational standards in the province.
