Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has directed authorities to immediately begin work on the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Flyover project in Hyderabad, emphasizing timely completion and removal of administrative hurdles.
Chairing a high-level development meeting in Karachi, the chief minister reviewed progress on key infrastructure projects in Hyderabad. Senior provincial ministers and top officials, including Local Government Minister Nasir Hussain Shah, Planning Minister Jam Khan Shoro, Works Minister Ali Hassan Zardari, and other senior bureaucrats attended the session.
During the briefing, officials informed the meeting that land for the flyover was acquired in 2018, but construction had been delayed due to legal disputes and administrative issues. Several civil works, including casting of 24 girders, have already been completed, but the structural work remains unfinished.
The chief minister instructed departments to resolve all technical and financial issues without delay and ensure close coordination among relevant agencies.
He further set a target to complete the flyover by the first week of July and announced plans to inaugurate the project within the same month.
CM Murad Ali Shah stated that the project is critical for reducing traffic congestion in Hyderabad and warned that further delays would not be tolerated.
Officials assured the chief minister that construction progress would be closely monitored and the project would be completed within the stipulated timeframe.
