New Delhi, India — Web Desk: International reports have raised alarms over Indian-origin individuals abroad, highlighting a sharp rise in arrests, investigations, and deportations linked to serious crimes. According to the Hindustan Times, 89 Indian-origin individuals are listed in the US Immigration Department’s high-priority criminal cases database, with details of charges including sexual offenses, drug smuggling, fraud, kidnapping, money laundering, and violence made public.
The Indian Express reports that in 2025, the US deported 3,800 illegal Indian nationals, marking a significant increase in recent years. Experts warn that rising crime rates, social instability, and questions over India’s judicial system are damaging the nation’s global reputation and creating new diplomatic and social challenges.
