Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: The Supreme Court on Monday directed authorities to submit a detailed record of all meetings held by incarcerated PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, with party leaders, family, and lawyers at Adiala Jail .
The order was issued by a three-member bench led by Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar during a hearing on a contempt petition alleging that jail officials failed to implement court orders on visitation rights .
PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja urged the court to obtain an updated report, claiming his client was being held in solitary confinement and suffering from an eye ailment . Raja also argued that the Islamabad High Court’s order on visitation was not unanimous.
However, Justice Mazhar observed that if the order was not unanimous, the appropriate legal remedy would have been to file a review petition before the high court . The bench also questioned whether an earlier assurance against media talk after prison visits had been violated .
The court granted three weeks to the jail administration to submit a comprehensive report on the meetings, including details on dates, attendees, and compliance with judicial directives .
