Saudi Coalition Warns Houthis of Overwhelming Response to Any Attack

Date:

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia – Web Desk: The Saudi-led coalition operating in Yemen has issued a stern warning to the Houthi group, threatening an “overwhelming response” with full force if any attempt is made to target Saudi Arabia, its citizens, residents, or critical infrastructure .

According to media reports, coalition spokesman Turki Al-Maliki stated that recent Houthi threats against Saudi Arabia are attempts to divert attention from the ongoing humanitarian and economic crisis in Yemen . Al-Maliki emphasized that the coalition is committed to both defending Saudi Arabia and protecting Yemen’s sovereignty and stability .

The statement comes after Houthi warnings that they could target Saudi airports and key land and sea installations if Saudi Arabia continues its alleged violations of Yemeni airspace . Meanwhile, the Saudi coalition has accused the Houthis of endangering international shipping and trade in the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, which it says is also damaging Yemen’s infrastructure and economy.
