Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Web Desk: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned recent remarks by the US ambassador to Israel, describing them as irresponsible and provocative.
The statement rejected claims suggesting Israel holds supremacy over the Middle East, calling such comments unacceptable and a violation of international law and the UN Charter. Riyadh warned that these remarks risk destabilizing regional peace and undermining ongoing diplomatic efforts.
Saudi Arabia reaffirmed its long-standing position that sustainable peace in the region is only achievable through the establishment of an independent Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. The government urged the United States to clarify its stance and disassociate from statements that could heighten tensions.
The comments by the US ambassador, claiming Israel has the right to dominate the entire region, have drawn widespread criticism from Riyadh, which emphasized that a fair resolution of the Palestinian issue is central to long-term Middle East stability.
