Mumbai police nab 4 suspects after Bollywood filmmaker Rohit Shetty survives deadly firing incident
Mumbai, India – Web Desk: Bollywood director Rohit Shetty came under attack late last night at his luxurious residence in Juhu, Mumbai, when multiple gunshots were fired at his property. The Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility, sparking citywide panic.
Mumbai police launched a swift investigation, deploying forensic and ballistics teams. Evidence suggests a 7.62mm firearm was used, and investigators tracked the gunfire direction and escape route. Acting on leads, authorities arrested four suspects from Pune and presented them in court.
Initial probes indicate Bishnoi gang member Shaboot Lamkar orchestrated the attack, funding the purchase of a scooter used in the shooting. Police have collected the scooter and other crucial evidence and are pursuing additional accomplices.
A social media post from an account linked to the Bishnoi gang warned Shetty and other Bollywood figures of further attacks, calling the recent firing “just a trailer” for potential escalation.
