GILGIT (Web Desk) – Caretaker Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, Justice (retd) Yar Muhammad Nasir, has taken the oath of office.
Governor Gilgit-Baltistan Syed Mehdi Shah administered the oath to the caretaker chief minister.
Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Amir Muqam, Chief Justice Rana Shamim, former chief minister Haji Gulbar Khan, and other senior officials attended the oath-taking ceremony.
Caretaker Chief Minister Justice (retd) Yar Muhammad announced that elections in Gilgit-Baltistan will be held within two months.
It is worth noting that former Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan Haji Gulbar Khan and the provincial cabinet completed their five-year constitutional term on November 24, 2025.
