Remote-Control Bomb Blast Injures 5 Police Officers in Lakki Marwat

Date:

Lakki Marwat, Pakistan – Web Desk: A remote-controlled bomb exploded near a police mobile in Lakki Marwat, injuring five officers, including an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), police confirmed on Monday.

According to authorities, the explosive device had been planted on a motorcycle and detonated as a police vehicle approached the Shahbaz Khel Adda area. The blast caused multiple injuries, prompting immediate medical attention for the personnel involved.

Officials have stated that the attack was targeted and investigations are ongoing to identify the perpetrators. This incident comes amid rising concerns over improvised explosive device (IED) attacks on security forces in the region.

In a similar event last month in Dera Ismail Khan, a remote-controlled bomb targeted a police armored vehicle, killing two officers, highlighting a persistent threat to law enforcement personnel across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Authorities have urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to prevent further attacks.
