(Web Desk) – Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh’s exit from Don 3 has stirred speculation among fans and insiders.
While early rumours linked it to the success of Dhurandhar, a new account suggests the decision was shaped by creative differences and industry dynamics rather than box office performance.
According to a source quoted by India Today, Ranveer Singh did not voluntarily walk away from the project. The insider emphasized that Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani had supported the actor during a challenging phase of his career, offering him Don 3 after three consecutive box office disappointments.
The source added, “Farhan was the only filmmaker who put his trust in Ranveer when others had backed out. This was also at a time when Dhurandhar hadn’t even released.”
Stepping into legendary shoes
Taking on Don 3 was no small feat for Ranveer Singh. The franchise carries the legacy of stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, making it a dream role for any actor.
The backing of Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani was crucial, as the project offered Ranveer a chance to re-establish his standing in Bollywood after past setbacks.
The real reason behind exit
The insider clarified that Ranveer’s departure had nothing to do with Dhurandhar’s eventual success. Instead, the decision was influenced by creative differences and unmet demands, which reportedly could not be reconciled between the actor and the makers.
So far, neither Ranveer Singh nor the film’s production team has officially commented on the exit.
Don 3 has already experienced shifts in its cast lineup. Kiara Advani reportedly stepped away from the project, while Kriti Sanon is said to have joined in her place, signaling further adjustments to the film’s direction and production plans.
