Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s recent medical check-up and treatment have become a politically charged issue, despite doctors expressing complete satisfaction with his health.
Sources indicate that Khan’s personal physician at Shaukat Khanum Hospital praised the medical examination, stating, “You have done an excellent job.” Two additional doctors from the hospital, alongside PTI-nominated Dr. Nadeem Qureshi, conducted a detailed assessment at Adiala Jail.
Following the examination, senior opposition leaders, including Allama Raja Nasir Abbas and Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, were briefed at PIMS Hospital. A 45-minute speakerphone consultation was also held with Khan’s family-trusted physicians, Dr. Khurram Mirza and Dr. Asim Yousaf. The discussion was recorded and verified by both sides.
PTI-affiliated doctors described the treatment as “encouraging and satisfactory” and praised the examination process as “textbook standard.” Dr. Asim Yousaf, on behalf of Khan’s family, thanked the medical team and assured that future medical arrangements would not be criticized.
The review included detailed discussions of all aspects of Khan’s health, including minor cholesterol variations. PTI doctors noted no immediate interventions were required, recommending re-evaluation at the next check-up.
Despite these assurances, public messaging by some family members, including Khan’s sister Aleema Khan, and selective videos created ambiguity, fueling doubts among the public. Party sources confirmed that while doctors found the situation satisfactory, political planning for protests and sit-ins continued, with senior opposition leaders being kept informed.
