The decline pushed the benchmark further below the 170,000 level as selling pressure remained visible across several sectors.
The KSE-100 had closed the previous session at 168,636.85 points, after losing more than 1,300 points on Thursday.
Friday’s trading remained volatile as investors monitored elevated international crude oil prices and continuing uncertainty surrounding US-Iran relations.

Market breadth remained negative, with 321 stocks closing lower against 128 gainers, reflecting broad weakness across the exchange.
The KSE-100 ended the week 1.52% lower, highlighting the impact of several consecutive sessions of cautious trading and profit-taking.
Among major index stocks, UBL, Mari Energies and OGDC provided support to the benchmark.
Systems Limited, Meezan Bank and Lucky Cement were among the stocks exerting downward pressure on the index.

The latest close leaves the KSE-100 at 168,155.50 points, with investors expected to closely monitor geopolitical and economic developments when trading resumes.
