President Zardari says India constitutes threat to global peace

Date:

(Web Desk) – President Asif Ali Zardari has warned that India has become a threat to global peace, while the situation created by the Taliban regime is even more dangerous than the period before 9/11.

Speaking in Islamabad, President Zardari thanked the international community for expressing solidarity following a recent terrorist attack. He emphasized that the fight against terrorism is not the responsibility of any single country but a collective global duty.

President noted that the sympathy and support shown by world leaders, governments, and international organizations have provided encouragement to the Pakistani people and the families affected by terrorism. He said these messages reflect the global nature of the struggle against terrorism and the violent ideologies behind it.

He reiterated Pakistan’s long-standing position that combating terrorism cannot be done by one country alone. Pakistan’s experience has shown that when terrorist organizations are given shelter, facilitation, or freedom across borders, innocent civilians worldwide bear the consequences.

Expressing regret, the president said some neighboring countries have allowed terrorist elements to operate against Pakistan from their territories, while others have provided financial, technical, and military support. According to him, these factors have influenced the region’s security situation in recent years.
