ISLAMABAD:President Asif Ali Zardari has extended warm and heartfelt congratulations to the Government and the people of the People’s Republic of China on the occasion of their 76th National Day, commemorating the founding of the nation in 1949.
In his official message issued from the Presidency, President Zardari noted that the people of Pakistan join their Chinese brothers and sisters in celebrating this significant occasion, which he described as a testament to China’s remarkable journey of progress, unity, and national advancement.
He praised the visionary leadership of President Xi Jinping, crediting it with propelling China to new heights in innovation, global engagement, and sustainable development. “President Xi’s commitment to people-centric governance, shared prosperity, and the idea of a community with a shared future for mankind continues to inspire the world,” he said.
President Zardari emphasized the ever-strengthening nature of the Pakistan-China relationship, which he described as “multifaceted” and “time-tested.” He highlighted the outcomes of his recent visits to China, during which both countries reaffirmed their shared commitment to expanding trade, infrastructure development, and strategic security cooperation.
President Zardari also expressed a desire to further enhance people-to-people connections, particularly in the fields of science, education, technology, and culture, calling them the “bedrock of our enduring partnership.”
President Zardari extended his best wishes to President Xi Jinping for continued success and prosperity. “May the friendship between Pakistan and China continue to flourish in the years to come,” he said, affirming the traditional slogan: “Long live the Pakistan-China friendship.”
PM’s message
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday said that the enduring and unbreakable bond between Pakistan and China had grown stronger over time, expressing the hope that the two countries would elevate their friendship and partnership to new heights.
The prime minister, in his message on the 76th National Day of the People’s Republic of China annually observed on October 1, felicitated the leadership and brotherly people of China on behalf of the people and Government of Pakistan.
Wishing progress, prosperity, and success for the Chinese people, he said that the National Day served as a reminder of China’s remarkable national journey, besides acknowledging the progress, stability, and China’s role in establishing global peace.
Prime Minister Shehbaz said that Pakistan took pride in its brotherly relations with China and that under the visionary leadership of President Xi Jinping, China had achieved progress and prosperity that served as a role model for the world.
He said that the relations between the two countries were based on mutual trust, sacrifice and sincerity, which also guaranteed peace, progress, and prosperity for future generations.
Calling his recent visit to China “highly fruitful and productive,” the prime minister said that historic milestones were achieved in the context of Pakistan-China bilateral relations, including the meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organization and B2B conference, where investment accords worth billions of dollars were signed.
He said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor was the most significant joint economic project of Pakistan with China, which had now entered its second phase.
Mohsin Naqvi’s message
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi congratulated the Chinese leadership, Communist Party and people on the 76th National Day of the People’s Republic of China.
In his message, Mohsin Naqvi said the Chinese leadership has realized the dream of economic stability and sustainable development in a short period of time.
Mohsin Naqvi said China has reached a high position in the world community with its perseverance, adherence to principles and the spirit of collective welfare.
China’s extraordinary achievements in the economic, social and military fields are the cause of development and stability for the region, Mohsin Naqvi said.
I pay tribute to the Chinese leadership and people on the National Day for China’s glorious history, cultural heritage and amazing development, Mohsin Naqvi added.
He said Pakistan-China relations are based on historical, strategic and strong partnership.
Mohsin Naqvi said great projects like CPEC are a shining example of the great partnership between Pakistan and China.
The soaring peaks of the Himalayas, the depths of the sea and the rocky paths of the Karakoram are witnesses to the eternal friendship between Pakistan and China, Mohsin Naqvi said.
He said China has fully supported Pakistan in every crisis, regional tension or internal challenge.
Relations with China are a permanent and central pillar of Pakistan’s foreign policy, said Mohsin Naqvi.
He said from Gwadar to Khunjerab, from energy to communications, China has played a key role in strengthening Pakistan’s economic foundations.
Mohsin Naqvi said the Pak-China strategic partnership is the foundation of balance and development in the region.
