Islamabad, Pakistan | Web Desk: President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday formally approved seven key bills passed by Parliament, turning them into law and marking a major step toward regulatory and institutional reforms in Pakistan.

The newly enacted legislation spans trade, taxation, railways, education, and human rights, aiming to strengthen governance, improve economic efficiency, and enhance protections for vulnerable communities.

Among the approved measures are the National Tariff Commission Amendment Bill 2026, Export Development Fund Amendment Bill 2026, and Income Tax Amendment Bill 2026, which are expected to modernize Pakistan’s trade policies and taxation system while supporting exporters and economic growth.

Reforms also extend to infrastructure and education through the Transfer of Railways Amendment Bill 2026, focused on improving railway management, and the Danish Schools Authority Bill 2026, enhancing oversight of Danish schools nationwide.

In a significant move for social justice, the President approved the Domestic Violence Prevention and Protection Bill 2026 and the National Commission for Human Rights Amendment Bill 2026, reinforcing legal safeguards for victims and strengthening human rights institutions.

With presidential assent, all seven bills are now legally binding and set to play a crucial role in Pakistan’s governance and reform agenda.
