MUZAFFARABAD – Web Desk: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has taken the lead in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections, securing 13 seats, while the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) won 5 seats, according to unofficial and incomplete results received late Sunday night.
Polling was held in 8 constituencies of Muzaffarabad Division and 12 overseas seats. However, voting was postponed in LA-28 Muzaffarabad-II Lashrat due to bad weather and landslides, which prevented election staff and materials from reaching specific polling stations in Nowseri, Nusada, Panjgran, Dewalian, and Panjkot. Polling at these stations has been rescheduled for August 4.

- LA-25 Neelum Valley-I: PML-N’s Shah Ghulam Qadir won, defeating former AJK Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas (3rd place).
- LA-26 Neelum Valley-II: PPP’s Mian Abdul Waheed leads with 3,762 votes; PML-N’s Shah Ghulam Qadir has 3,296 votes.
- LA-29 Muzaffarabad: PPP’s Sardar Mukhtar won with 19,792 votes.
- LA-30 Muzaffarabad-IV: PML-N’s Mustafa Bashir Abbasi won with 18,082 votes.
- LA-31: PML-N’s Saqib Majeed is leading.
- LA-32: PML-N’s Raja Farooq Haider won with 17,507 votes.

- LA-45 Valley-VI: PPP’s Abdul Majid Khan won with 3,448 votes.
The Election Commission said sealed polling bags were retrieved by the Returning Officer and polling will resume at the postponed stations on August 4.
