(Web Desk) – UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Pakistani Prime Minister His Excellency Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held talks today on strengthening cooperation between the UAE and Pakistan, particularly in the fields of economy, investment, and development, in a way that serves mutual interests and advances their shared vision for progress and prosperity.
They also agreed to enhance bilateral trade, which had great potential for mutually beneficial growth.
The two leaders also exchanged views on important regional and international developments and reaffirmed their shared commitment to continue close coordination on matters of mutual interest.
While expressing their satisfaction with the positive trajectory of bilateral relations, the two leaders reiterated their determination to continue to work together closely to advance the shared objective of peace, stability, and sustainable development.
During the visit, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed held substantive talks with the Prime Minister. Their discussions focused on exchange of views on further strengthening the longstanding fraternal relations between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates. The two leaders reviewed the progress achieved in ongoing areas of cooperation and also explored avenues to deepen engagement across a wide range of sectors.
The visit of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will further consolidate the deep brotherly ties between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates and contribute to further strengthening of their strategic partnership.
It is pertinent to mention that UAE President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, paid an official visit to Pakistan on today.
This marked His Highness’s first official visit to Pakistan in his capacity as President of the United Arab Emirates.
His Highness was greeted with the greatest warmth and cordial welcome upon his arrival. A formation of JF-17 fighter jets escorted the Royal aircraft as it entered Pakistani airspace. His Highness and the accompanying high-level delegation were received by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, as well as Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at Nur Khan Airbase.
Other senior members of the Cabinet and government officials were also present to receive the UAE dignitary.

President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in Islamabad today on a day-long official visit to Pakistan.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Senator Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir received the distinguished guest at the airport.
Besides 21-gun salute, a smartly turned out contingent of the armed forces presented guard of honour to the visiting dignitary.

The UAE President’s plane landed at Noor Khan Airbase in Islamabad where a smartly-turned out military contingent presented a guard of honour to the visiting dignitary. He was also honoured with a 21-gun salute. Later, the was introduced to the members of the federal cabinet.
Pakistan Air Force (PAF) aircraft also escorted the UAE president’s plane when it entered the Pakistani airspace.
The UAE President is undertaking this visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. This will be his first visit to Pakistan as the President of United Arab Emirates.
The UAE president was accompanied by a high-level delegation, including ministers and senior officials.
During the visit, the UAE President will hold a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, where the two leaders will review the entire spectrum of bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
The visit will provide an important opportunity to further strengthen the longstanding brotherly relations between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
The visit of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reflects the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries.
