PM Shehbaz Sharif Urges End to Gaza Ceasefire Violations for Peace

Date:

Washington, USA – Web Desk: Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the urgent need for lasting peace in Gaza, calling on all parties to end ceasefire violations and uphold Palestinian rights under United Nations resolutions.

Addressing the Board of Peace meeting in Washington, PM Sharif described the establishment of a free, sovereign Palestinian state as essential for long-term stability in the region. He praised former U.S. President Donald Trump for his timely interventions that, according to Sharif, prevented escalation between Pakistan and India, saving millions of lives and demonstrating leadership in peace efforts.

“The Palestinian people must have full rights to their land. A free and independent Palestinian state is vital for sustainable peace,” Sharif stated. He added that today’s discussions mark a historic moment for Middle East peace, urging international stakeholders to ensure that ceasefire violations in Gaza are immediately halted.

Sharif highlighted that establishing peace in Gaza would not only safeguard lives but also leave a lasting legacy of diplomatic success and regional stability. His remarks align with broader international calls for adherence to UN resolutions and a fair resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
